Community Grant Awards

Here at White Birch Wind, we don’t plan on waiting for our project to be completed to get started on our community impact.

This is why we are so proud of our local Community Grant Program. Through this program, we've been able to support community initiatives that help this region thrive. Grants are accepted on a rolling basis and are awarded quarterly.

Bird Island Fire Department BBQ Trailer Highlight

The Bird Island Lions Club and the Bird Island Fire Department have embarked on a joint venture to purchase a custom BBQ Trailer. The trailer will be used for disaster relief events, community fundraising events, a food option for the summer Artisan and Farmers Market, regional tournaments at the Lion’s Memorial Ballpark, county-wide fire department events, and to meet any other community needs. The food trailer will be available to the 59 Lions Clubs in the region to provide meals for emergency responders when natural disasters occur.

“Thank you so much for the wonderful donation towards our BBQ trailer," said John Thompson, Bird Island Fire Chief. This trailer will allow us to continue our annual BBQ competition, as well as expand our service capabilities within the community. We are greatly appreciative.”
